Precautions for acid and alkali resistant work clothes:

1. Maintenance and upkeep

Breathable acid resistant work clothes should be cleaned with neutral detergent. When washing, do not mix with other clothes. Use hand washing or soft washing programs in the washing machine. Do not use hard objects such as brushes to scrub, use sticks to beat, or rub vigorously with your hands. The washing water temperature should be below 40 ℃, and the washing time should be as short as possible, but there should be sufficient time to rinse with clean water to remove residual detergent. Do not use bleach or organic solvents for stain removal to avoid affecting acid resistance and fabric fastness. Acid resistant work clothes should be naturally dried and avoid direct sunlight exposure. Clothes in a semi dry state should be ironed at a temperature of around 115 ℃, which can to some extent slow down the decline in acid resistance. Non breathable acid resistant workwear should generally be rinsed with plenty of water, and dirt can be gently brushed with a brush. However, it is important to avoid using hot water or organic solvents for cleaning, and to avoid exposure to sunlight, heat drying, and ironing to prevent aging, cracking, swelling, and loss of protective performance.

2. Service life

Appendix A of the "Rules for the Selection of Labor Protection Articles" (GB11651-1989) specifies the usage period of labor protection articles. The requirements for the service life of acid resistant work clothes can be summarized as follows: breathable acid resistant work clothes are treated with finishing agents, and their service life should be appropriately reduced by one grade. Breathable acid resistant workwear may be damaged, have torn stitches, moldy, brittle, have been penetrated by acid, or lose its acid resistance; Non breathable acid resistant workwear should be scrapped in a timely manner if it is damaged, has open seams, cracks, swells, has coating layer peeling, ages, or becomes brittle. The using unit shall sample and inspect acid resistant work clothes that have reached half of their service life or have been stored for one year. Products that have been tested to have lost their acid resistance should be promptly scrapped in batches to ensure their qualified use.
